Poom

The girls do not say "shoot" or "gun." Not because we don't use the correct terminology, but because they are cute and funny and created their own words.

They don't shoot bad guys with their guns...
They poom bad guys with their poomers.

Too funny.

How You Know You Are Acing The Mom Gig

Lorelai: "Mom! Addy almost hit me!"

Me: "Well, get back to me when she actually hits you."

Peeping Addy

Chris: "Ok, I'm going to go take a shower now."

Addy: "Ok, I'll watch."

Chris: "What?! No!"

I laughed for a good, long time.

Birds

For some reason, Lorelai has a fascination with watching birds. She is terrified of getting pooped on, but watching them from afar delights her and Adalaide.

Lorelai has come up with names for a clusters of birds doing different activities.

If the birds are flying together in the sky, it's called a "bird show."
If they are all perched on a power line (and singing) it's a "bird church."
If there is an especially large group of birds flying it's called a "bird finale."

If a lone bird is sitting by themselves it's called "bird alone time."
This one is most amusing seeing as Lorelai (from a very young age) says she need "alone time" quite often...she's passed this trait off to animals too.

They don't know it yet, but I have ordered a painted wood plank with birds sitting on wires. It will say "bird church." Our family will love it, and our guests will be very confused. ;-)

Feliz Navidad

It's been a long time! Better catch up and keep up ;-)

Adalaide's humor is something that really cracks me up. Every day she says something that makes me laugh.

Lorelai is a more serious kid by nature, so her comedic moments are a bit more sporadic, but usually more entertaining because they catch me so off guard.

Addy will casually state her opinions as facts, it's hilarious.

*sighs* "I hate this song."

*sees someone sporting a lot of fringe* "They're weird."

She's also incredibly dramatic at times.

"Woah, that really freaked me out." (this gets said over many things)

*after being told "no" over something* "Nobody likes me."

*sees an ant* "I need a shoe, I need to kill it."

*after Nora ran into her and made her fall and bleed* "Nora dropped me!"...she even warns other people. "Look out Grandma, Nora's gonna drop you."

Lorelai's moments usually come up when she's super emotional about something...most likely Addy.

"Ahhh! Addy is driving me crazy!" (happens at least once a day)

*grunts and screams over trouble buckling her seatbelt* "I'm freaking out!"

"The baby crying is stressing me out!" (self-explanatory)

Poor kid is a little high-strung.

The main laugh lately is the girls' reaction to the song "Feliz Navidad." They hate it. In fact, they say "I hate it!" Then they cry. If one of them wants to bother the other one, they tell each other "Feliz Navidad" just to watch them cry.
Yep, wishing them a Merry Christmas in spanish is the most horrific part of their day. Kids got it rough. ;-)
I say this made me laugh, and it did, but after a few weeks of this pattern, I avoid this song like the plague. If you say this to my kids to make them upset, I will harm you for causing unnecessary drama. I am glad the Christmas song portion of the season is fading fast.

I will try to remember to write their words down more, I really do love having a log of their words. I won't remember all of them on my own!
